Midweek Movie
Fort Garry United Church subscribes to several agencies, to ensure that our use of copyright materials, print, music, and imagery legal, ethical, and provides artists with an appropriate income.
One benefit of this arrangement is that we are licensed to show almost any movie ever made (that's a metaphor rather than a scientifically demonstrable claim!) for the interest and benefit of our congregation. In the past we have screened in our sanctuary several new-to-video titles made in Hollywood, including animated films, sports, drama, comedy, and documentaries.
These showings enable community conversation about metaphors that can become societal lingua franca (common parlance)
