A VIRTUAL TOUR
Fort Garry United Church occupies a triangular lot at the corner of Point Road and Lyon Street.
As a consequence, much of the size of the building is not visible to the casual observer.
The peaked roof on the right covers the sanctuary. The flat roof in the middle covers the foyer and office area. The two story building to the left houses the current upper hall, stage and loft area.
Mature trees shade the entrance and green spaces surrounding the church building, while flowerbeds and river rock guide walkers along paths and patio.
A new ramp, porch and glass doorway welcomes visitors to the main foyer.
Congregants may easily see whether the building is occupied, and may stay warm and dry as they await the arrival of bus, cab, or car.
Details about South Winnipeg Family Information Centre progams are posted on the large sign over the pews.
For your convenience, a punch paddle button to the right of the doors enables the rightmost door to open automatically when the building us unlocked. (Note that a security system is in place and armed on those rare or late occasions when the building is unoccupied).

The foyer leads into the middle of the church building.
To the right, in order, are the Coat Room, the Main Office, the first passage to the Sanctuary, stairs to the lower level, the second passage to the Sanctuary, and Washrooms.
Directly ahead are the elevater to the Lower Level, and the Office of the Treasurer. (Note: No funds are kept on the premises.)
To the left are the offices of Ministry Staff, passage to the Upper Hall, Kitchen, and Loft areas.
