Communications

You can be the greatest violinist in the world, playing the most exquisite music, on the most valuable instrument of its kind, but if you are "busking" in a Washington D.C. subway station, without adequate notice, the people still walk by. Check out this YouTube clip.

The church has good news to share, but it takes time and talent to let people know what it is and how to find it.  Do you have experience or interest in web-site management, newsletter development, captions for exterior signage, advertising, marketing, promotion - in other words: communication? Finances

Administration of finances involves the receiving, accounting, receipting and disbursement of donations in service of the church's mission.

This involves a double-signature system, and chain of known, trusted volunteers from the ushers who receive the offering, the counters who prepare donations for deposit, treasurers who prepare the books, and the finance chair who does the planning, reporting and auditing arrangements.

Note: security checks will be required.

Capital Campaign

We have a significant program of Building Renewal underway.

The design has been painstakingly developed, and enthusiastically supported by the congregation.

FGUC leadership is committed to a careful approach to financing and communication with the congregation.
