100-4-100 Community Cleanup Month

May 29th marks the start of our community cleanup event. To help celebrate 100 years of Fort Garry United Church, we want to work together to collect 100 bags of trash.

All community members are welcome to join us in helping clean up our city. This event will be running all year long, so everyone will have plenty of time to get together with their families or households to participate together while following provincial covid guidelines.

You can stop by the church between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 29th, to pick up supplies, or use your own. We’ll be handing out garbage bags from Take Pride Winnipeg, and 60 church centennial t-shirts.

Please drive up to the front sidewalk of the church and stay in your vehicle where we’ll hand you your package.

Once you’ve filled your garbage bag, send us a picture at fguc@shaw.ca. The photos will then be shared on our website so we can all see each other’s progress as we work towards collecting 100 bags of trash.

We have quickly moved through June and our goal of picking up 100 bags of trash is far from complete. Please keep sending in your photos for the tally.
