Messages of Congratulations from our Partners

" The Red River Toy Library feels so fortunate to be welcomed by FGUC. We are new and growing, and FGUC has nurtured that growth, for which we are grateful. We started the library during the COVID-19 pandemic, and we appreciate that FGUC was still willing to open their doors to us and made it a priority to support community-serving groups. The shared values of relationship, community and connection are imbued throughout FGUC's congregation. Congratulations on a century of ministry and caring!"

Congratulations to the congregation at Fort Garry United Church for your 100 years in the community! We have had a great time filling the rooms with our music over the years, and look forward to the day that we can do that again. May it come soon… All the best, The New horizons Band

Focus Taekwondo would like to wish FGUC a very special Happy Anniversary on their 100th year.

We have been training out of the FGUC now for many years and have enjoyed our space a lot. They have always been very accommodating with us and have treated us very well.

We hope to have many more years together in the future.

Congratulations from all of the us at Focus Taekwondo.

1. Congratulations to FGUC as you celebrate 100 years serving your community! In these turbulent times, it is reassuring to know that you are still there and support people in so many ways.

2. Fort Garry United Church has been a valued partner with the Winnipeg Toastmasters Club for over twenty years. WTC celebrated our 75th anniversary in 2019 at the church and is the oldest Toastmaster Club in Manitoba and 2nd oldest in Canada. Our meetings these last decades have always been supported by FGUC. Thank you for your support and continued partnership.

3. A picture is attached of our 75th anniversary celebration. Lieutenant Governor, Janice Filmon was in attendance along with our members and many guests. The picture shows us toasting the successful club for 75 years.

God bless Fort Garry United Church for its 100th year anniversary. There is a saying in Korea, "When a pine tree grows in abundance the cypress tree is happy for it as well". It means that when a friend sees you prosper, he is happy for your achievements too.

From the East to the West, from the past ages to now, we all bow our heads low to show our respect to the elderly that lived for 100 years. It is because they have taken good care of themselves for the 100 years and have overcome the storm and waves throughout their lives. Myself and Winnipeg Sumgim Korean Church wish and pray that Fort Garry United Church will be a church that will shine bright as they stand tall and strong like a pine tree on top of a hill.

Congratulations on 100 years of serving our community.  Our centre has enjoyed the opportunity of locating our office here for 27 years. We appreciate the support and partnership of FGUC. We both share the goals of providing a place where people can learn together and find belonging.

As someone who grew up in Fort Garry United Church and stayed connected over the years, it has been exciting to watch the Church grow and evolve.  Twenty years ago, when Bob and I were new members of The Compassionate Friends (TCF), I was proud to suggest we approach FGUC as a wonderful venue for our Annual Candlelight Service in memory of our children who died.  We have been hosting this event ever since at FGUC and are very grateful for the warm welcoming and hospitality extended to our organization.  FGUC has also invited The Compassionate Friends to participate in its annual Community Barbeque.  We are very pleased to take part in this event as it provides an excellent public awareness opportunity for TCF.

On behalf of the Winnipeg Chapter of The Compassionate Friends, we extend our heartful congratulations on reaching your 100th anniversary in the Fort Garry community.

Congratulations Fort Garry United Church on the occasion of your 100th Anniversary of faith filled service to the community. For more years than I can recall  the church has allowed me to host my many rehearsals, concerts, recitals, etc. and my students and their families have always felt welcome and comfortable in the beautiful Sanctuary and Upper Hall.
Best Wishes for many more anniversaries to come!
